Does anybody know the part number for the abs ring on the front driveshafts for a clio 182/
one of mine has cracked. Do you need to fit a complete new driveshaft or can they be removed on the RS models?
i'm in the same trouble, i cant get the part number either. renault say they dont list it. i think its the same as something else, maybe a megane but the breakers beside me arent very helpfull, say i have to buy a shaft, they had a broken shaft and wer wanting the same price as an ok one!! yes, i counted mine yday, 44 teeth!! they can be removed ok!
£9.99 on ebay! http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/dodthebod
Just make sure you get one with the right number of teeth.. they come with either 26 (normally 1.2ls etc) or 44 teeth (Normally RS Models).
£300 my ass! dont let yourself be ripped off.. its a 10min job to fix! Quite a common problem, and it used to be that rings couldnt be bought on their own.. but not anymore!
i got mine from the guy off ebay and they are fine, trying to get someone to fit them that was harder most wanted to replace the driveshafts and wouldnt give me a price but i found a local mechanic who did it for £50 plus the £20 for the rings much better than £300 i was quoted just for the driveshafts alone lol
I got mine fitted by my mechanic. It has been ok but driving at 30mph. After 60 mph it came on. when switched off and on it goes away.
The abs ring that came off the front was alot thicker than the one he fitted. The one fitted now is half the width. Does the abs sensor looking at the target disc just need adjusting in line?
can the abs sensor be adjusted to sit closer to the ring? mine only seems to bring up a fault when i am on a motorway and hit a large bump now. I asume its goes too far from the teeth.
