Clio 182 RB Cup

These seem good value - anyone used on track?

I can’t comment on those exact tyres, but having driven multiple cars on Pirelli’s I came to this conclusion…

IMG_3830.jpeg

Fast road use only (all inherited tyres or fitted from the factory from new) across multiple cars ranging from e30 325i, e36 328i, Octavia vRS mk1&2 and the current Ioniq 5N.

On all those cars they were/are a bag of shite in the wet and bang average in the dry.

Cheap enough just to kill on track though I suppose.

They lasted one trackday on my Clio before I removed them and sold them on. PS3 are way better imo.

Everyone likes PS3, but i personally think they are to soft on the sidewall and let go very easily in the wet, wouldn't purchase them again, but as said most like them in the wet

Was looking at this for ages wishing I had the money for it as it looked really tidy in the advert. Shame its turned out to be a bit rough, especially when it was priced as if it was in such good condition

I've Rain Sport 5's on my Cup and they were pretty good in the light snow last night.

What about rainsports?
They’re alright for absolute monsoons and decent in the snow.
As soon as it starts drying up on track you’ll wear the outside edge. Just gotta drive within reason.

If anyone wants to purchase this then message me. I’ve got the v5 now so it’s ready to go.
That's a shame! In his build thread and your first picture it looks great! I saw those and thought, that's a thing!! Then I saw your other pictures :(

He knew fine rightly. Did he have it organised for night time viewing or was it down to your train ?

It was literally the only train that I could get. I’m pissed off with myself for trusting someone

That’s what I was gonna say, new front wing, touch in round the mirror and half a panel blew in at the back. The cars insanely good in every other area.

Tbh it’s not even that bad. I bet 90 % of people wouldn’t even notice 😂 I think I built it up to be literally perfect and was pissed when it wasn’t

Good idea. I had my old RB painted and the wing pickled up around the wing mirror so needed repainted. I think it was case of too much material, so when it was repainted, I just sanded the edge of the wing mirror base to allow a bit more room. Food for thought if you go down that route.

Picked one on these up the other day. Seems decent

Also noticed there’s a slight coolant leak which seems to be running down the left side of the radiator as you look at it. Can’t see where it’s actually coming from doesn’t seem to be any pipes near there so could be a slight crack or hole I guess

Reactions: TC.
I think so. I’ll do a track day before making the decision. If I love it then I can overlook the minor niggles

I’ve not driven this since I picked it up , but noticed it’s got a slight coolant leak. Looks like it’s leaking from multiple areas. Dripping off the rad and also towards the middle of the engine. Possibly water pump?

Might get mick to change the aux belt as it’s due and possibly replace the pump at the same time

Saw this listed for sale, shame the condition left a bit to be desired but glad to see you’re persisting with it!
