Clio 3 KTEC Sport Engine Conversion

  Clio RS 200 Gordini
Hi, I have spotted this on KTEC's website, basically replacing the 1.2l engine and all the parts and smashing a 2l in there. Seriously interested in this and I have heard good things about the company.

The picture looks like a Clio 3 bay but they say its for a Clio 2. Can anyone confirm that they can do this for a Clio 3 1.2l?

Could they possibly do it with a Clio 3? My bad, I just double checked the picture, absolutely gutting.

Why would you do this when mint 172/182's are available for that price?
Complete waste of money that you will ever get back resale time.

So you won't buy a second hand 182 because ''They have all been ragged'' but you're willing to buy a second hand engine out of one and put it in your own car?? Riiiiight.

Needs.

Special.

What about 197/200's? OP has a Mk.3 remember.

Can't see the price of the conversion at the moment because K-tec's website isn't working, but I doubt it's much less than the price of the conversion.

Mate, its not special needs if you are happy with the car shell and interior that you currently have. It is spotless.

Unless I can find a 200 that looks like a 1.2 then I won't get one. I don't want all of the extra features, just the same one that I have now, but with more power. I want it to look sensible, but with a devil under the bonnet. Putting a bigger engine in my current car would mean that it would look exactly the same but with more HP. I just don't want it to look sporty, maybe when I'm older; but not now. Police and mates would be thinking what the hell.

Have you seen the prices on MK.3 RenaultSports? No thanks. I can probably throw an engine in my current car for half the price.
