Nothing can..

I will tell you something but you have to keep it secret..you know how they got rid of concorde, and everybody thought it was a step back.. well they are secretly testing the Cup as the next generation concorde. :p

And speak english, not text lingo. Its difficult to read and bloody annoying

SNAP!!! if youre old enough to drive a nice motor, then learn to spell properly instead of using 12 year old schoolgirl language!!!

Hi, welcome. Enjoy your cup. My two cents of advice:

- dont thrash it, run it in for the first 1k miles gradually build to 3.5/4k revs use the gearbox etc. Its difficult but it will pay dividends

- dont go for crappy useless vulgar mods. Keep the car looking standard if you can. Any worthwhile mod will cost a lot of cash and have debatable benefits. It will also invalidate your warranty

- save the money on useless mods and take the car out on track as often as you can, and enjoy giving a hard time to machinery costing four times as much

I didnt stick to my own advice (thrashed it from day one, spent loads on mods) but I have learnt from my mistakes. I then did professional mods on the car and it is now absolutely purrfect. You can go straight to that Nirvana and avoid the "get into the £££ jail" on your way!

Finally post on here in any language you care to use including text. Therell always be someone to answer!

ok everybody calm down about my english, im more clingon if i may say, the cup will be kept totally standard, even tho i would eventually like a nice exhaust, filter, ect no body intrested in my r5?

I agree with that, lets go easy on the guy, it is his first post. Dont want newbies being jumped on as soon as they use the boards, makes it look as though they are not welcome.

Just my opinion of course.

Enjoy your new cup ! I am sure you will !

Its that time of the month I think !

:devilish:

Usually it is a good idea to use the search function on the boards and see if your question has already been answered in another thread. There have been so many threads recently on the Cup, 182, 172, debate so check them out !

Stick around cos these boards are great and very helpful.

rite the r5 is in average conditon body wise, has no tax or mot but has had loads done to it will pass with minor work, to list a few of the parts, r11 low comp engine, baffled sump, k-tec side exit, new rad, new brembo discs, T28 turbo, unfortunatly dont hav space any more but i wud love to keep it, but i wont hav space to work on it now.

Txt speak is very annoying. It annoys me as much as people who spell lose as loose.

Anyway, well done on buying a Cup. Theyre a great car. I like the Cooper S, but its very expensive and still isnt really quick enough. Id like to try one though.
