Clio Dci unbelievable economy

my girlfriends mums got a clio dci 80 dynamique that she borrows. We went to the trafford centre in manchester yesterday which is basically dual carriageway and motorway, so i reset the trip computer to see what mpg it would do. Going 70ish down the motorway for 20miles including parking up etc it did.

74.9MPG

I need to get me one of these, mine would do mid to late 40's tops

Please, on a serious note though its a credit crunch beating car, although that isnt my main proirity, my next car will be less economical than my current one.

im gettin 30mpg in my cup and i couldnt give 2 f***s aslong as it makes me smile when i nail it.
but i might get my lass 1 of those dci

ive had 70mpg on a 70mile run up the coast doing around 50mph most of the way out of mine before but it averages around 56mpg tbh under normal driving

I just find it that people won't call it "recession" because although "credit crunch" is effectively the same, it sounds less negative!

i did a round trip 2 doncaster and back 3s up with all luggage 220miles each way and i got 50mpgs doin about 80-90 all the way in my works clio 3 dci 86, was very impressed, overall in the week i had it did just under 600miles on a tank, very impressd

I was caining it. Uses zero fuel and the only thing that comes out the exhaust is love and bunnies.

I got 42 mpg doing 60-70 mph to Cornwall over the weekend. Nice and relaxing driving in the middle of the night. Got 420 miles outta a full tank.

Pity I couldnt restrain myself on the way home though, the atlantic highway is awesome!

getting around 70 mpg to !!! It costs me next to nothing to get to work and back !!!
