Clio Dynamique + 16 Wheels + Lowering

  Renaultsport Mégane R26

Heres the scoop:

Ive got a 2002 Clio Dynamique with the standard 15" Equation alloys on at the moment. Eventually there will be either MK 2 172 alloys on or Clio Cup (Speedline Turinis) replacing the standard items. The tires for the new wheels will be 194/45s. So....

Just wondering how to go about lowering the car. Very important that I can get 3 people in the back with a full boot and full lock on the wheel. Whats more appropriate bearing in mind I am only going for lowering springs? There are so many kits out there with different ride height reductions im lost! Ideally taking 6cm out of the ride height would be great but dont whether ill get any agro! Finally, how much should I expect to be charged to fit a spring kit (4 springs) to the car? Thanks again for all of your help!

You could use a search to find most of this info-60mm with 16s shouldnt be a problem at all. ive got 17s and 60 with no problems and others have 18s and 60mm. Fitting springs isnt hard and shouldnt take over 2 hours, u could probably do it yourself. Depends where you live in the country but up here about £50

i would say drop it 30mm as i rather have practicality rather than be having to go real slow over humps

plus personally i wouldnt lower a car 60mm on just springs (in fact i wouldnt lower a car at all just on spring) but thats my preferance.

30/35mm i say

tbh i have 60 and i never once had a problem with speed bumps

you only really get in trouble when you have big muckle front bumpers or rear bumpers for that matter.

drop it 60...i had mine 40 and was well disappointed with it

and the jury says WRONG!!!!!!

60mm on upto 17inch wheels is fine (no arch problems) and thats with the heaviest people imaginable in the car!!!!!

As ive always said, 30mm is for poofs, dont waste your money!!!!!!

std shocks are fine, no need to "uprate" them

My Dynamique is lowered 60mm on 17"s and is totally fine, but it did catch a few bumps at the front when I had it lowered on 15"s.

just my personal opinion - as in the future im planning to put big "muckle" front a rear bumpers on it
