So here is my first car!! this is how she stands completely stock after a good wash! yayyyyy! Its an 02 Clio 1.2 16V Extreme edition! I LOVE IT! if anyone could tell me the actual colour of the car it would help i just call her green ...

will get some more pics tomorrow!

I kind of want to keep her as stock as possible to be honest! none of this boy racer crap

will be doing deffo! just had the mirrors wrapped in a silk metallic black because the mirrors were different colours x_x! also fitted the xenon bulbs will upload pics tomorrow!

Okay so yesterday my friend turned up we didnt waste any time getting the 4200k bulbs fitted, had a ball ache with the fogs and main beams as they didnt fit arghhh get them sorted soon, but any way here we go, also had the mirrors wrapped in silk metallic black as one mirror was green and one was black dont know why lol...

here we are with the bulbs fitted big improvement on the stock yellow ones

Was happy with the way they turned out to be honest! just annoyed about the fog lights not fitting after a lot of swearing i finally gave up

forgot to get any before shots of the mirrors however you can see from some of the pictures that the driver side mirror is black and the passenger one was green, after wrapping this is what they looked like in silk metallic black, you cant even tell they were colour coded! happy with the end result

thats it for the mods so far! gonna get the LED number plate bulb and LED interior and map reading bulb changed when i get home so i'll be uploading some more pics later!

also if anyone can find a cheap 172 rear bumper it would be appreciated! not bothered about the color may wrap the car soon anyway... cheers!:clap:

I would get those headlights polished up soonish. Hazy headlights let all cars down.

okay i have a slight dilemma i fitted my interior LED map reading bulb and main interior bulb aswell however my main interior bulb glows a tinnnyyy bit when the ignition is on and also when the engine is started however when i lock the car by the key it goes off, and when i put my map reading light on it also goes off... any ideas?

Good you didn't use HID kit but just bought bulbs.

3m headlight resoration kit is the best bet.

No idea on the interior light.

I'll second that!
There's nothing worse than an ignorant tw*t with hids in reflector housings

Regarding the headlight restoration, I used fine sand papers and that worked a treat and was much cheaper

Don't worry! My led interior light stays on ever so slightly when ignition and car is on. It's not that noticeable though

sorry i havent posted in a while been busy with mods on the car, need to upload pictures of the LED interior lights and also fitted my JBL subwoofer and amplifier yesterday, was a pain in the arse to run the power cable through the bonnet release cable grommet, but managed in the end, will post pictures either later or tomorrow!

Just a quick note. Your coolant looks seriously gammy. Any idea when it was last changed as it should be green not red!!!!

My interior light glows too, but not the map light. I just switch it to the map light mode if it irritates me, since I don't have a bulb in that at the mo.

Okay so as promised here are the pictures of the LED number plate light before and after and also the interior and glovebox LED lights... ENJOY!

Next on the list was the LED number plate light... will also get some shots of them in the dark tonight and post them pictures up as well

After: Looks so much better now! pleased with the result however because the lens cover is old and dirty the full brightness doesn't shine through so will definitely be ordering a new lens cover

as for the coolant she's due a service so i'll get everything sorted then, also not sure if anyone has any idea however there is a small icon on my dash which lights up every now and then, it looks like glow plugs but its not a diesel any ideas? also glad im not the only one with the interior light problem! not a big issue, i'm sure i'll get used to it...

polish up headlights, find a wing mirror the same colour as your standard one, RS Grill, new rear number plate light (they are cheap on ebay and look crap when they are all faded)

okay so i gave her a full wash and polish today, touched up her black bits with a product called replenish had it for ages don't remember where i got it from tbh... love the way she cleaned up as well! :clap:, took on board everyones advice and polished the headlights up! no more haze! WOO!

Polished the headlights with replenish as well, they cleaned up really well! happy with the result!

Really happy with the outcome! need to give the engine bay a clean as well but thats something for another day! i hope the weather stays good now after all the hard work i did cleaning it!

Looks much better mate.

As said just get a new light unit. Think they're £7 from vospers on ebay.

Top of the lights need a little more sanding by the looks of things. All the same it looks completely different!

thanks mate, pleased with the turn out of the headlights, i kind of got lazy with the headlights :rasp:, however i will do them again maybe tomorrow and iv just ordered the light unit and aero wiper blades woohoo! :clap:
