Clio powaaa 1.2

Thought I'd start up a project thread seen as I've been a member here a while but hardly posted.

I bought my black 1.2 16v Clio on the 14th October 2008.
She looked like this.

Bog standard, 31000 miles.

Mods so far: (updated 30th November 2008)
DVD headunit
Sub and amp
Bee sting aerial
White badges and bullets
3/4 front plate

Mods to come (In order of when I'll probably get round to them):
Back box (got it, needs fitting)
Yellow headlamps and fogs
Window tints
Headlamp blinkers
Sport stripes
Side repeater tint
Lowered 60mm
Sport grille
Standard alloys black with white badges
Extra colour coding
Sport front and skirts
White alloys

RS grill is on the way.

I have just taken the P.I lowering springs off my car mate as im selling it now. covered about 4,000 miles max, lower by 60mm. will be for sale if anyone is intrested.

Wouldn't use lowering springs (Greater than 30mm) with standard shocks, or you'll find yourself replacing them regularly.

Did you build the sub box? I couldn't help but notice that the carpet match is perfect!

got rid of the headunit as they get anoying lol.

nice project though.

Cheers guys. I've had a bit of a change of plans now. Probably not putting in tints, stripes.
Colour coding is coming asap and the side bullets are drying in the shed.

Do you think it's worth refurbing the dynamique wheels black or should i get some others? How much would I get for mine?

PS No I didn't build my sub box its just a lucky match.

Nice. But I wouldnt get white alloys - imo white wheels on a black car looks wrong.

Quick update today. Plans have changed a bit, no tints anymore, no stripes. I want 16" steelies now with whitewalls and single wiper conversion, big sunstrip etc. Slight euro stylezzz.

Going to collect my 60mm drop kit in a couple of hours so that should be on this week and I'm hopefully going to Renault to get an RS grill tomorrow.

Silver visions are coming, promise. :rasp:

Anyway I've finished the badges and bullets now and I've tinted the fogs yellow got some LED sidelights too but can't really tell the difference in the pic.

make sure that the bulbs are the correct rating for the car, mine wern't and set fire to my front lights!!

i'd check the bulb holders for burn marks, alot of L.E.D sidelights do this

Never know why people tint their fogs yellow, i think they look horrible...

Apart from that looks very nice mate, looks very like mine before i wrote it off
