Clio wrapped up within 10 days of owning

Long story but yeah it has been declared a cat C.:dead:

Basically im wondering whether to retain the car and strip for parts or repair...
Im not a full member so cant advertise parts but what do you think i could get stripping her. Immaculate leather\suede 172 interior, engine with 26K (serviced 2 days before):S

Everything but front bumper, lights, bonnet and wings availble...

give me some rough ideas and i will join and sell here.

ill have the interior.lol.majority of them go for about 400-500 iirc so theres a good start

Just make sure you can get the car back for like a grand or less really, so that you will make money on stripping the car down for parts.

FF so aircon and climate control... no airbags went off... span the car and literally "tapped the front bumper". wasnt a bad accident but was written off coz of cost of parts to replace. the car had a new exhaust 5k ago aswell so is like new. would people buy doors etc?... What is the engione worth?... with gearbox etc

you will be suprised how many people will buy doors.depending on how well looked after the engine and age will vary how much for that.to be honest,most people will probably want most parts of the car

Interior - 500.
Doors - 100 each
Dash - 40
Engine, gearbox etc... - 500+?
Exhaust - 100
Tailgate - 100
Rear bumper - 110
Rear lights - 40
Inteior carpets - 50
Bonnet - 150
Shell - 300+?

It really depends how much your time is worth I guess.

Pretty pissed though as it was a nice car. first accident ive ever had! It totaly came from no where...hit some ice (water flooding on road which im getting onto council about) felt car slide...let off the gas a little (which is apparently a no no in these cars) and woop it span and did a 360.

Bit of a learning curve but hey atleast Im OK, would have hated a broken leg or arm etc... and its lucky i hit no one else

Would have clocks to sell with it aswell??

the engine will all depend on who wants it and how much they are willing to pay

Sell the engine looms gearbox etc for £1k on here for a conversion.

I'd personaly just fix it up could do it quite cheap realy.

im 22 and just lost best part of 3 years no claims. its renewal time in 4 months and i dont fancy the increased premium. lol.

guna buy something cheap until ive got a year ot two under by belt again.

pics up tomorow if i buy it back... hopefully the salvage yard have not touched it!!!

you lose 2yrs no claims for a calim, so would still have 1yr, might be a fair bit cheaper than you think!!!

At the one near me they raz the cars around on gravel and mud and climb over them to get to other cars etc...
