Clios been broken into!

finished work at the metro centre.. walked back over to the car in the coach park (overflow carpark) and seen there security van parked next to the car!

Bloke said "this yours?" so i said yeah and he just said sorry but.. it's been broken into.. i just noticed it now it hasnt been done long!

They managed to get my CD player, Sub, mini disc player and pennies.. literaly took the little pot out of the centre console with less than 50P in it.

Heres a couple of bad out of focus photos.. was freezin after a 15 mile drive home with no heating or window!

This was taken yesterday!

and now...

I'll get some better ones tomorrow.. im absolutely gutted.

Police took some details but SOCO refused to come out becase the car was frosty.. even though the inside was still bone dry (could tell it hadnt been done long) but said to look for any blood in the daylight and bring it in wth me as evidence.

I hope the b******s use the money from the CD player (worth £180) to buy drugs and OD on it.

Before anyone says it.. the front of the CD player wasnt on show, i always tuck that under the carpet beneath me drivers seat.

Whats strange is.. they didnt bother checking under my passenger seat for anything .. cause they missed the CD changer.

tbh after this im not bothering with aftermarket CD players as long as i can play MP3 cd's im happy so the fact it was under the seat makes no difference! :rasp:

I've been looking for a sport for a while now because insurance is up in feb so i wanted one before that.

theres a camera at the beginning of it.. that covers the whole carpark... but cant see my car on it.. Too far away.

Never had any bother at all!! I just got the car sorted, painted, new bumpers, bonnet, i even have fogs to go on when i get time. Now this happens i just can't be bothered!

It's those of us that bother to remove all valuables that suffer.

i guess these problems just dont seem real until it happens to you, i admit ive thrown my headunit in the glovebox because i cant be bothered to carry it around,

But the thieves who break in in case the fascia plate is in the car will do so whether it is in there or not. Once they break in to my car the CD player is the least of your worries imo. I'm more concerned about replacing the window/lock etc they damage...

That said when I had an after market CD player in the past I always took it out and left the glove box open.

Leaving the facia tucked into the carpet under a seat doesnt stop them breaking the window to try it, so wether it was in my locker or in the car id still be with a broken window.

£10 from a scrappy and my new window is on, just need to clean the glass out.

Spoke to the police today, shes reviewed the CCTV and found out that it was a silver/light coloured forst escort with a spoiler on the back that did it.

They drove in at 20:35 and drove straight to my car, spent 15 minutes ramsacking it then drove off. (so they either know me of have been watching the car!)

shes asked for local garages and businesses CCTV footage of the car if they have any.

At least I have something to gon on atm.

You drive a "modified" car, chances are you will have a nice stereo in it, I have had 2 sound systems stolen from 2 different cars, as soon as they see youve got a aftermarket hu and 6x9s the likelyhood is that there is a sub and amp in the boot.This is why I will never ever have a decent sound system in my car again.

My g/s is a copper so shes keepin her eyes out for anything!

I never bothered with 6x9's .. i hate them with a passion lol!

It's really frustrating thinking about it now, It's the only place they allow staff to park, if we park in the malls its a £40 fine.. and the signs say cars are left at owners risk or something along them lines which i think is b****cks tbh! Im pretty sure they have a duty of care!

Normal mall car parks are busy enough with people so its pretty safe, us staff get fined for parking in there.

The headunit was a JVC touchscreen KH 551 or KH552 (ones silver ones black) mine was the silver one!

Mutant 12" sub with black carpeted box, the amp was just a black box.. ancient thing!
