Ah mega!! Katie is my favourite td photographer too. Winner
We will try and arrange the static shot session a bit better this time, those that rolled up last time got some great pics but I dont think enough people knew about it. It's just quite nice to get some photos without any background disturbances/people/distractions. Should be some great angles and background opportunities at Anglesey.

Am I right to assume that an open face track-day helmet would be fine?
General rule of thumb is open face is fine for hard top cars.

Soft top/convertable, full face is required.

It does vary from track to track (and from safety briefing to arriving in my experience too!).

For example. Thruxton. Safety briefing said 'Long clothing and full face helmets ONLY'. Arrived to loads of people in short sleeves and open face helmets (in hard top cars). I was sweating like a pig all day 🤣

I'll be arriving in a hard-top, and barring major accidents it'll still be a hard-top when I leave.

Reckon I'll invest in a cheap open-face one.

Its a good time of year to have a butchers on Ebay etc as people will be doing a clear out.

TBH, I just run my full face, even in the 140. Is it ideal? No. Id rather an open face, but I can then use my one for Karting....

I've heard it buffs up quite well.

@The Psychedelic Socialist I've got a spare OMP Clubman open face I can bring along if you want to use that? It's an old one I let passengers normally use but my buddy has his own now so it doesn't get much use any more.
It's a kind offer but I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy one. I've used the lack of my own helmet as an excuse not to track cars in the past and it's probably time I actually used the car a bit more.

I'll get the Yaris weighed then, to see if I can legally tow it to Wales behind the Alpina.

Saw that on your story, did you have words after?
No point as it would have ended in fisticuffs if he give it the big un like he did out on track. Plus I didn't want banning from my local track. I was hoping karma would do its thing but there was a massive shunt on this session so I think he realized that could be me if I carry on driving like this.
