Morning chaps. Tis I, Fantastic Nostrils/Sir Sidnancy/Will (@Daniel , this is me now. Blame Cub.)

Ill keep it short but what a great event as per. Hats off to the guys who organise it all. Ive been a very small part of organising an event 1/10th the size of CS and that was very hard work.

Great to see the raffle and hot laps raising such a lot of money for Andys too. Enjoy the pillows and piss proof mattress protector @JP83 - you can now, without fear, 'dream about' pissing whilst asleep and not ruin your mattress.

The Compact was shockingly fun and reliable. Got me there, all day on track and back without much fuss (I did have to turn off an EML 4 times but we will ignore that). After all day on track, it somehow only used 2/3 of a tank of fuel too. Great to chuck the keys to Alf @Daniel who handled it with ease bearing in mind it was his 4th ever session on track, first time in a E46, First rwd car driven etc etc etc. Hes an absolute natural and was such a stand up chap. @SunglassesStan (hope thats Stans handle @Sunglasses_Ron !) was an absolute gent too. Great to chat to and also influence badly on the ways of burning dinosaurs and rubber.

@Rojer & @Scrooge also managed a few laps in the Compact without disaster. Although Ant did try his best :ROFLMAO:

All in all, barring some silly sausages who were delt with swiftly, a fantastic event once more. Thank you and well done guys!

Oh. and just because:

That car was mint, shame it wasn’t running full boost.
I did have a word at the end of the day with the staff, we maybe allowed next year but only as demo laps as we all behaved well , but sadly no passengers allowed ....
Sadly trackday rules / insurance do not seem to cover the real chance of me entering the sea in a ball of flames...
What a picture though. 😄.
Amazing day and thank you all for the donations and really hoping you enjoyed the compact passenger seat..
Shattered, but still smiling Paul Brandrick.
Diamond Performance 💎

Whats the issue with full boost and track day rules Paul?

Regardless of my comments of boost I really enjoyed my passenger ride in it, thank you Paul 😀

Its when you run on the limit , tyres can and do explode, if you do go off, it's a big one.. track insurance does not cover crowd liability issues, and although it's never planned or wished for, a piece of debris from an accident can do a lot of damage..
I understand their reasons , we worked together on the day to ensure people left smiling ..

He got trailered off track with a terrible clonking noise, thought his new driveshaft had exploded.

Looked under it and all the bolts were tight, Kyle then undid one of the wheel bots by hand 😂

Wow! And this is Mark who is a track veteran! 🤣🤣🤣
Which makes it even wuss!

I think we are are going up Snowdon by train on Tuesday because my knee has swollen up like a balloon since our long walk on the beach earlier today. Fck knows what that’s all about because it’s never happened before.
@Sunglasses_Ron check the website mate as when I looked the train was fully booked until Aug 7th!!! It was my backup plan for getting down if I was spent after the walk up. You also have to prebook parking for the Miners track - it was full when I got there, didnt know that either so I had to do the Llanberis route.

I went yesterday (solo), made the summit in 2hrs 26m - never sweated so much. Was dripping off me. For the "easy" route it was pretty hard going.
Total round trip was 3h31m moving time with about 40min added for breaks and a sandwich at the top. My legs are ruined today. Ankles, calves, knees, quads, hips... walking like a 90 year old!

Views - absolutely epic.

Edit - if you have a dicey knee I wouldnt recommend walking up, its hard going up but on the way down your knees take a right beating.
Edit2 - If you decide to go anyway, take a warm top for high up, take a couple of litres of fluids each, and some food. There is one small cafe at 4km, no toilets. Round trip from Llanberis car park was 15.05km. The path is jagged and stony for a fair portion, & VERY steep in places.

Thank you to all the admins and organisers - thoroughly enjoyed the whole event as always. I am going to bring my family next year so they can do some track driving too :)

Thank you also for allowing us (TurboRenault) to join the event again - getting together with the gang every year is a highlight for us all.

Firstly, thank you to @Nik @Owen @Sunglasses_Ron @Brian and Rob for sorting another year of CSF. It's genuinely one of my favourite days of the year, better than Christmas.

I didn't take a single photo, I didn't feel the need, I was just happy being in the moment either driving, watching, catching up with old faces or meeting new ones.

Got a few laps in the M3 in the morning, the geometry needs sorting but it did well enough. Hopefully the ham fisted laps weren't too bad for you @SunglassesStan and @Rojer

One of the other great things is knowing that my boy can go out for a few laps in complete safety with anyone there kind enough to take him, such is the track etiquette and standard of driving. Thank you to everyone who took my lad out.

Can't wait for next year 😍
