I can mock you a drawing up if you want, aslong as it's not commercialwould a .SLDPRT file be better?
I program on the machine in heidenhain conversational. Would have to rack my brain for the g and m codes now?Do you use G code out of interest?
No, but I wish I did ?Does anyone use Hypermill?
We got it at work a while ago, only tried to use it today and find it really complicated I have done a 3 day course but it still don’t make much sense lol.
one thing I don't have and would love is a lathe.
anyone able to do me maybe 10-15 ally parts on a lathe? all the same and pretty simple nothing complex. also not very big, maybe 70-100mm dia
not mega accurate, its only a ally cap to cover a plastic cap under the bonnet of a car.How accurate? I have a little lathe that should do something about 100mm failing that I do have access to a big one but that’s not as guaranteed but it will be far more accurate.
Could quite easily do them depends if you want any fancy rounded edges or anything.not mega accurate, its only a ally cap to cover a plastic cap under the bonnet of a car.
internal dia needs to be roughly accurate so it fits over nicely, but outside doesn't matter
id like some form of none sharp edge, so either rounded or 45Could quite easily do them depends if you want any fancy rounded edges or anything.
If they’re just straight alu cups then it shouldn’t be too difficult
45 can be done. Rounded edge would require a tool to be bought lolid like some form of none sharp edge, so either rounded or 45
ok well let me get to it on my todo list and we can do a test part see how it comes out45 can be done. Rounded edge would require a tool to be bought lol
we need photos...Having a day out at mazak tomorrow to look at some fancy machinery!
