Not got the money to spend on Ledas for the 172, So had a quick look at what else i may be able to buy. So heres the list Much help Needed....


1: KW Variant 1 (Fully Stainless body) at £660

2: Spax RSX (Now Fully Stainless) at £625

3: Bilstein B14 PSS £770

4: H&R at £730

So there thay are guys and gals what should i be putting my money into.

H&R's i'm sure you can get them cheaper than the price you state... more like £650 iirc

H&R then Other people told me that too, But i have also been told to leave it standard and not to mess with an already Great handling car..

Take no notice. When i had my 172 best mod i did was the H&R's. Got a set sat here waiting to go on my 182 one night this week.

are thay really hard to set up?? and how do thay last with exposed threds for height adjustment??

with all the salt and whats not?

No damping adjustment so just a case of setting the desired height. But you will need the car aligned properly so the tracking, toe etc are all right. Not something you can do at home. Best bet is to go to a rebutable alignment centre with the lazer targets for the wheels or preferably a motorsport specialist to set it up and cornerwieght it. I didnt have any problem with mine. If you are worried the likes of demon tweeks sell protective boots or you could spray protective wax on the struts to protect them over winter. Its always best to clean them periodically though.

Thanks mate, still in 2 mids really as to just drop it on say H&R Apex or Eibach springs with bilstein or Koni yellow dampers and just have it down 40mm. not sure what to do

Didn't realise you could get PSS9s. I had them on my Mini and they were fooking amazing. Anyone have them on a Clio?

i think yoz and fred sell them on there website and use them on their clio 1.2. think the GDI demo car tested them.

Filby what car you getting says 182 in your name!? gary is selling LEDAs talk to him, he might be able to get them converted to 172 bolt spacing.
