Coilover question

Right I fitted my coilovers but just something I'd like to check. Where the strut and hub bolt together, the gap in the coilovers is say 2mm bigger then the hub that slots into it. As I've bolted it up the strut came tight but looks like it's bent a little.
I was thinking should I put a few washers in-between hub and strut to keep the strut bit from bending??

If it was me I would put washers in don't know if it's the right thing to do though.

That's what I was thinking, I've contacted the seller and will take it to the garage.

which coilovers are they? normally they should be a tight fit.
