I think I may of located my rattle from the front, on closer inspection, underneath the taped to protect the adjustment threads, my front nearside coilover strut has been weeping a bit of oil. I suspect its fubar

now thing is they are only cheapy cheap ktec coilies so I don't want to be spending a million quid to get back a fivers if you get me, so wheres a decent place to start to sort this? anyone recommend anywhere or even a kit to DIY it?

cheers

Ktec coilovers, I'd try going direct to them and see if they offer an overhauling service, it probably won't be as much as you think if they only need to renew a couple of seals and then presurise the strut.

but it would be inclined to have both fronts done at the same time as a matching pair.

How old are they? Out of warranty?

Rebuilding costs more than you think by the way!

ancient, well out of warranty and done about 70k i think, lol!

the cost was my concern, they may well be beyond economical repair, no biggie as i have the 30k original cup stuff in the shed but i like the lows!lol!

Found reciept, they are just over 3 years old and only done 40k odd I think looking at history from the cars mileage at the time.

KTEC can however supply me with 2 new shockers and lower platforms (the adjustable bit ;) ) for £170 which is not too bad I don't think so once I have the shocker off to confirm its the issue I think i'll plug for that :)
