coilovers hitting off bonnet

after fitting AST coilovers i noticed that the adjusting bit on the top of them above the top mount fouled the bonnet. Therefore we cut a small hole in the underskin of the bonnet but this cannot be right? i noticed people on here say you should never tighten them with a socket/airgun which we did lol

does this look wrong?

Curtis at powerstation had this problem with Adey's when using those top mounts. he had to grind down the adjuster a little iirc. Doesnt have this problem with standard mounts or ast top mounts

lol so its not just us then we have two little holes in the bonnet skin which seem to do the job so we'll stick to that
