Cold air Feed pipe

This may come as a shock to some of you that the slayer may need some help but im in need of some piping to feed cold air from the grill to a cold air box im making.Its very important that the pipe is 80mm wide so i get the volume right entering the box.

Ive looked at D/tweeks site but cant find want i need ,it needs to be like the pipes you get with 57i kits. If anyone knows a supplier it would be very much appreciated.

Are you planning to use the tin foil variety if so you can get it from most motor factors, but the wire supported ducting might be better as it wont crumple over time.....

You need the DT motorsport catalogue, not the website, thats useless. Pretty much anything you want is in there.

Alternatively, you could email me and well meet up and Ill have a look over it and give you some ideas...after all, I might only know Clio 16vs and Willys, but Ive been through 3 or 4 induction systems myself...

I recommend Wyrem which is available from http://www.flexiblehose.co.uk/products/hose/wyrem.htmhttp://www.flexiblehose.co.uk/products/hose/wyrem.htm.

They do it in 3.1/4" diameter which is 81.25 mm. This stuff is very flexible and heat resistant !

I use it for exactly the same reason as you want to !

Slayer, m8, blowing Nick off is not too difficult, so I wouldnt set that as a target lol !!!.

now, you COULD use plastic drain pipe, or ANY similar hose that allows a free air passage to the induction system..

a piece of silicone COULD be used to absorb engine movement..

its an ORIFACE, nothing more, no high tech, no nowt...

Thanks to simon i picked up my wyrem from the flexihose trade counter in Slough for £12.22 a meter +vat and its the business and looks very profesional fitted to the airbox. What i need now is silicone hoses to go from the throttle body to the airbox but i dont want to pay demon thieves prices for them. so if you have any good links can you post them.

Seriously though slayer, lets have a look at your setup. Ive just been through the same kind of problems with my new induction system, in the end I got hold of some 85mm hose which will take a real tight bend and doesnt collapse at all, but theres one problem - its BROWN. Still theres gonna be some more silicone in there soon. So anyway, lmk, I think at the very least we should go for a bit of a burn around the Essex countryside...btw I had a bit of fun with a Tomcat on the A127 the other day, he was obviously caning the arse off it and blowing out smoke on every gearchange - I was pushing him along! Of course he may have not been trying - thats the usual excuse people give isnt it? It wasnt the slayers motor I was all over, was it? Oh and just for you Slarty, I wasnt using my nos, my little Valver with its insignificant 1.8 block is swift enough without it thankyou very much.
