Colour coding grille question

I've done a quick search and couldn't really find much relevant...

I've seen a couple of either PB or BG 1*2's with the grilles colour coded as they really do look blue/grey against the black.

Has anyone got this done, and was it hard/how much did it cost!?

Don't they just spray them black with a rattle can Chris?

i done mine myself, removed both grills and sprayed them gloss black, million times better

I did mine myself, I've got a compressor and a gravity fed spray gun though. I wouldnt bother doing it with rattle cans.

I used a grey scotch pad and gave it a good going over to give the paint something to key to. Spent a long time cleaning it with panel wipe.

Then sprayed: Upol plastic primer, then used a solvent base coat of Black Gold and went over it with 2k Clear coat.
