Compressor airline & electrical Qs

In my manual it says not to connect to an extension cable longer than 10 meters. Currently its connected to a 25meter extension cable, it works fine, but what problems could i encounter by doing this?

Also...

It came with a 10meter airline, this isnt long enough and its a pain to use, so iam after a 20-30 retractable line. Question is, does a longer line reduce the amount of available torque? and would a smaller or larger internal diameter on the line be better?

Gav I've got an aircon machine with a 25 meter cable, theres a sticky label on it saying don't use an extension cable longer than 5 metres, its been like that for 3 years so far and its fine. Its a decent extension cable not a wilko jobby.

10 Metres not long enough, jesus do you work on the other side of the house? lol. I bodged a soundproofing trolley for my compresser (stuffed with foam) but loads of vent holes drilled. This was after the neighbours started moaning, but there your mate when there car won't start and there in the s**t

I've got a big chunky airline and its powerfull as anything (10 metre again) black one, the curl up ones can't undo/tighten bolts as much as my airline can, even with a more powerful gun. Its not a reel up one though

It will be fine. It's just health and safety b****cks as anything over 10 metres in length should have a circuit breaker (i think)

Yeah its like "These corn flakes where made in a factory that also makes nuts" so if you keel over and die, Kelloggs can tell you to get bent and shove it

10 meters is fine if the car is in the garage, but I prefer working on the drive if its light, more space, I could move the compressor, but that’s a pain because I have a quilt wrapped around it, cockwrench neighbours like you

So a bigger internal line is better then yeah, not sure what mine is at the minute, it was the cheapest one in machine mart, plastic shite (I’m a cheap ass)

Those stupid HSE gheys, I thought it might have something to do with the electrical nano bots that carry the sparks down the mains, that’s how it works right? Lol

Cheers both
