Could you fit the 1.2 turbo engine into a 2001 1.2 16v?

stick a 2.0ltr engine in and dont declare it, problem solved.... unless you get cought >.>

Ide love to do a 2l conversion but can't afford to risk getting caught, Martin is it an easy conversion?

is it really worth it for a measley power gain? if any. from what iv asked and been told the car will normaly be put in to the catagory of the engine you put in to it. so a nissan s13 insurance group 16 with a skyline conversion will go to insurance groupe 20 because thats what the skyline is. give sky insurance a call and talk to them about it

ive never done it but id imagine easy enough, depends how confident you are.

personally id buy the turbo if the TCE, get a custom manifold made with a decat to mount the turbo, run the TCE inlet manifold if it fits, id imagine it does. along with the TCE intercooler and pipework.

have it mapped on the standard ecu with a set of uprated injectors.

there will be more to it than that but thats the basics!

the TCE has uprated internals over the normal D4F but i beleive it was just valve springs etc, i think the pistons etc are much the same, i know there is people running the TCE at 145bhp+ on the standard engine
