Council gate blown into my cup

Car  clio 172 cup
Hi all right I've out this morning to a market where my parents worked was parked in the car park and the gate blown into the car

Does any one think the council will pay out as the plug in the floor was an inch from the gate the pics will describe it better

And does any one think the insurance will write this off ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376743209.372624.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1376743224.489641.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1376743248.822766.webp

Do the council open and close the gate? I.e. is it there error they didnt open and secure the gate properly or does one of the market people come and open it?

The gate can't be secured as it don't plug into the floor there is other ppl that open the gate but the market person should check they are secure

This is going to get tricky. I'd call the council and ask them about the gate in question and see here it goes from there. Don't give in though! I'd be so so pissed off!

I've already filled a claim form out and I no the market manager so I'm hoping that's gonna help a little

As she said she's seen it and said its all a legit claim

Any one no cost of this as it will need a 1/4 panel

Id say the 1/4 will repair, the 1/4 panel to door gap looks ok.
It will be repair and paint the 1/4 blend into the door.

£500 ish at a good bodyshop with a proper spray booth.

Gonna go n see my mate at the body shop later he will tell me best thing to do etc fingers crossed

Update on this council have agreed to pay out in full which I'm glad about

cars booked in body shop a week on Monday

great news man

yeah I would say about £500ish looks proper dented but to a body shop I bet its water off a ducks back

Yes it's brill news and I have a very good friend who owns a body shop and his work is fantastic

hes also quoted in the damage some extras that I wanted doing

so yes I'm happy it's getting sorted thanks every one for your concerns

Run run....run away now, WTF is with everything still in situe and prepping started.......jesus christ, strip first (and i mean everything, door hands, locks, window seals etc etc, glass protected from the off or removed), prep later.....thats how you end in tears with a pillock and DA getting excited.
