crackling soundbar?

So annoying!! Basically whenever the volume goes high, eg when Brazil score and the crowd roar, my soundbar does that annoying fizzing crackling sound.

Works fine with music and from ps3. Could it be an old sky box, goosed optical cable or knackered sound bar?

Impossible to say, try hooking it up to another TV.

This sounds a bit daft but mainly does it on itv hd?!
