Cup 172 Interior Light Phase 2

Hello can anyone help me as to weather the interior light on a cup 172 comes on automatically when i open the door it dosnt no matter what angle it is and im trying to decide wether bulb has gone etc or if it just isnt a automatic light i can flick it on manually any help would be great obviously not a major problem
