CUP arrived - splitter on the back seat!

CUP finally arrived today, well worth the wait!

1 problem, the front bumperssplitter was on the back seat with a bag of 8 self tapping screws. It was "left off due to a decrease in fuel efficiency as a result of increased drag " apparently:(

Efficiency? b*****s! I want I bloody splitter on my CUP!!!!!

There are 8 holes on the underside of the bumper, with the 4 holes at the front of the bumper corresponding with 4 semi circle indentations on the splitter. - im amusing 4 of the screws will go in here?

Cant use the 4 remaining holes on either side of the bumber as on the corresponding part of the splitter there are semi circles cut out.

Do I just srew the front 4 in and thats it? Wont the sides of the splitter hang down?

Any advice from someone who has had the same problem with their splitter not being fitted would be appreciated - dont want to go drilling holes in my lovely new CUP only to find ive f****d it up!

cheers

bought it online so it was delivered to my house this morning, the dealer is miles away.

If its a 5 minute job ill do it myself, but if not ill take it to my local dealer and ask them nicely to fit it.

*** Calling all CUP drivers - do me a favour - run outside before it gets dark and see how your splitters are attached to your front bumpers ***:D

calm down son!

its there so the dealer can stick it on when u collect it, that way it saves it getting damaged.

Consider yourself lucky you have one.....most of the posts on here refer to it being missing!! LOL!

Dont take it to Renault...unless you want them to break something else!!

How difficult is a couple of self tappers??

Ye apparently they dont fit it cause it can get damaged on the transporters, fit it yourself or go down and get your dealer to do it.

It does look as though it should be pretty straight forward, but id rather be 100% sure than risk messing it up. ( And id rather keep it away from Renault until my 12,000 mile service ) Could another CUP owner do me a favour and check how many screws are holding their splitter on? Also if im missing any bits.

Ive got:

1 Splitter
8 self tapping screws

However, as I said before there are 4 holes at the front of the bumber ( no problem here ) but another 4 holes ( 2 at either side of the bumper ) that cant be screwed in as the splitter has semi circles cut out where the corresponding holes should be.

Im sure something is missing - rubber gromits for the 4 holes where it cant be screwed straight on?

Any help with this will be really appreciated, it just dosent look right without the splitter!

Thanks
