Picked my Cup up on the 1st Dec (unfortunately the weather was cmailto:cr@p">r@p), but all seemed OK. When cleaning it today, noticed some blemishes in the paintwork and, following an inspection by a friend who runs a bodyshop, it turns out the offside corner of the front bumper has been repaired (badly) and the top of both rear quarter panels (that narrow section running above the window) has been patched up with what looks like a Halfords aerosol can as the finish is so bad. Added to that, the rest of the car seems to be covered in a fine mist of overspray (you cant really see it, except on the glass) but panels feel rough to the touch, particularly the bonnet, and from close inspection, one of the wheels is covered in the same mist of what may be some sort of primer spray.
Ill be speaking with a solicitor before contacting the dealer (Richard Sanders of Kettering) tomorrow so I know where I stand and what my rights are, etc.
Any advice, etc from anyone whos had to deal with similar problems would be very much appreciated.............I dont need to tell you how gutted I am and the thought of battling to get things sorted thoroughly depresses me.
