Cup vs New MR2 and modded MGF

C

Cupster

What are those new MR2s like, I aint got any figures but I ate one for breakfast this morning flash git with his roof down sticking to my rear bumper. I had to leave him then slowed down and he pelted past me and I thought, ive already taken the p1ss out of you and you want more!!!!! So I hassled him from beckton round about all the way to city airport. The more he tried to get away the more I overtook him. He turned into city airport and I flashed my hazards but no reply. I thought that they were similar in figures????? Also roasted my mate in his supped up MGF with head work, throttle body, exhaust and filter. He wasnt pleased to add insult I had a mate in my car with me!!!!! started to overtake him at about 75. CUP rules!

  Audi TT Stronic

I slaughtered an MR2 in my old 205 GTi, I dont think they are anything to get excited about.

Noones gonna beat the new VX220 Turbo by Vauxhall - 4.7 to 62 and 155 top speed - thats close to a ferrari !

My scoob will give it a run for its money especially now its getting upgraded to 350 bhp this week 60 should be in the low 4s

  Silver Fabia vRS

Id buy a VXT, 25k for a car than goes as quick as a Ferrari and handles likt its on rails....sod the fact its a Vauxhall.

No its EcuTek new injectors, turbo and so on. Have to agree rob vx very nice car but with all that extra power through the back wheels whats it gonna be like in the wet, we do live in britain. Four wheel drive no slip just grip no matter what conditions

Id get the funkier opel badges.

I see youre point, but i like scary cars, and would you use a VX in the wet anyway? I guess that would make the scoob better really then..doh.

i eat scoobs every day in my 150 bhp elise lol, scoobs are very over rated and do not handle that car has had its day imo.

I was doing a track day at donny 3 weeks ago and had to keep flashing the P1 over.

If you want that sort of car buy an evo.

what the use of 0-60 ??? when do you ever do that ??? (traffic lights is about it)

the vxt will sh1t all over your scoob sorry.

all imho of course i know sub 25 year olds and drug dealers love scoobs though.

Was that the 17th feb ? What colour was you elise ? I dont recall seeing an elise go flying past ? Will dig some pics out !;)

Elises are cool, did you know some of them have been written off when the owners have hit curbs, roundabouts etc because the extruded aluminium chasis is that strong ! oh and the rover VVC engine is a gem !

Mr demon i take your point about the track but lets face it how often do you go on a track compared to normal roads. 0-60 does matter as does 0-100 by the time time youve wound up your elise i have left the lights and hit the next roundabout. Had a escort cosworth and an evo which i thought were both over rated lets face it mate we all over rate our own cars. By the way im 30 and work for the police and i thought elises were hairdressers cars:mad:

Yeah griff one rule for us and another for you, no only joking guys speed should be done on a track and i agree with mrdemon that the elise probably does have the upper hand on a track but on uk roads maybe not. Not that i speed of course.

mgs are hairdressers cars as are mr2s etc

Lotus is a drivers car and i have never seen a gay person in one.

my time at donny was 1.32 :) btw

0 to 100 matters yes but not 0-60

there were 2 p1,s at donny and if you were the one not pulling over then you need to learn how to drive :p.(the one jonny gave a bollocking to??)

quote "by the time time youve wound up your elise i have left the lights and hit the next roundabout"

which you could not get round lol

here is my car

I have A048 tyres on the elise now and only use it on weekends on the road thats why i brought a clio 172 :)

i will have pics of my new clio soon (have good things planned for it).

As for scoobs i hope you do not take it to heart.

i did have one on order been saving for one for ages, took it for a test drive and was very dissapointed of what happend when i hit a roundabout.

So i cancled my order (this was a new shape btw and i understand the STI goes along way into helping with the problem)

catch you all soon

Sorry m8 was nt pluging at been a gay car what so ever the elise is a fine car it wasnt me driving the P1 either i drive an sti with alot more power than a p1. Got to admit mate imprezas are not the best handling standard but as mine has leda coilovers its a big step up from standard. Ill have to go to donny and see what i can do

lol you must have been typing the same time as me.

I have not driven an STI but the mags say its much better and with the coilovers you would have me on the roads i am sure.

roll on the next donny track day :)

Nice car m8 black wheels make it look mean no harm done we all get a bit protective when some one is having a go at our pride and joys. At the end of the day no matter how fast mine or yours is there will be someone who can kick our a**e

I have a uk scooby, not an P1, anyway, the best mod you can do for track days is learn to drive !

oh and maybe some slicks ! ;-)

Scoobies with Leda suspension and brake upgrades are a completely different thing. Awesome on track. The standard car is not a track car. It would completely sh*te all over an Elise over a wet, bumpy B road, which it was designed for.

My Caterham was heavily modified for track use, and subsequently ver fast, but hopeless on anything other than the track. Horses for courses.

The Cup is better than a standard scooby around a track, but a few choice mods to a Subaru, and it is monstrous.

My 5 pence worth.:)
