Car  Fiesta RS Turbo & Pug 206
MY MATE :quiet: wants to go 60 mm lower on his original springs om his mk2 172 ??

has anyone done this b4 to save a bit of money ?? plus would it be to bouncy then ??

whay ya recon ??:S

cutting springs is stupidly dangerous.

give your mate a slap and tell him to get some proper springs for god sake!

go tell him to do it and report back to us on what an amazing idea it is to do it NOT, im sure you can pick up even second springs for less than 100 quid is it really worth someones live for the sake of 100 bucks ????

tell your mate to post up before cutting springs, after and when he bins it cos the springs fucked up completely

A mate of mine did it, and they popped out!
Same thing happened years ago to a mate of a mate, he had a mk3 escort with an rst engine in it. He'd lowered it into the ground, he was booting it over a fly over, the car lifted, the springs popped out, when he landed the car was on the floor

Yeah do it on a shed thats your going to scrap, not on your decent daily driver!
