I went to pick up my new 172 yesterday and noticed the Clio V6 wasnt in the showroom. The missus asked if theyd sold it and then the story unfolded. Someone phoned for a test drive so one of the salesmen went to put some petrol in but never made it back. Hes apparantly lost control "somehow" and wrapped it round a central reservation. Luckily no other vehicle was involved but he was really shaken up and the road was closed for four hours! The V6 is currently in the body shop and the saleman now drives very slow and carefully
So Mr Clarkson was right, V6s do spend most of their time with the rear facing forward.
