had it on for 24hrs now, i cannot honestly say i haven't noticed any real power increase but throttle response is much sharper and it sounds great too under full load, when cruising i dont even notice it, no louded than standard.

i have the k-tec decat and definately recommend it

Does that mean you have? :rasp:

I felt a difference, but mine was fitted in conjunction with an exhaust. Seems a bit more brutal in 1st and 2nd.

having ran de cats on past cars i do fancy one but the increase in noise puts me off, wish i could pick up a silenced decat for the clio.

Greenlight told me they wouldnt insure me if I fitted one.

MarkM - i'm covered for any modifications as long as i dont touch the engine directly. can put roll cage alloys stereo etc, still better give them a call though!

anyway it was late last night when i posted that, but power wise i cant really tell to be honest

John Lloyd - as for the noise its no louder mine is unsilenced, you can buy a silenced one if you like from K-tec too but IMO theres no need, revved it up last night for a friend he made the comment of no louder, maybe a little deeper. if you want a demo of it i'd be more than happy to meet up

Kevin - its an absolute b**ch of a job, i had mine professionally fitted, its not the hardest thing in the world to do but you will need small hands

Just a heads up. It is always worth telling the company specifically what you have changed. Say you have a decat not just a different exhaust.

Ditto, most companies will void insurance, as not road legal.

Have a Miltek de-cat fitted to my 182 along with the rest of the system. Its loud, maybe a tad too loud at low speed.
Sounds great outside the car - but you sound like a t**t if you have any female passengers in at 30mph and your having to shout above the noise!! lol
