martin 89 though... how did you get insured that low at 18?! i tried a quote from admiral and got 4,500 i think. did you go for third party only insurance? and was it on your 172?
i was insured with admiral at 18 with 0ncb in my own name for £2500
now insured still 18 (just!) with 1years ncb for £1200 fully comp
