Seems like an insanely way of spending money.
It's good. Is it worth the premium over CTR? Not sure
Bouncers Capture The RaptureSorry mate, CTR?
I've heard about AF illusion over AF desire giving great results....
Anyone given it a go?
I couldn't say for certain but the Platinum is lasting easily over a year on wheels for some guys I know.Am i right in saying that Carbon Collective Platinum wheels is just Gtechniq C4/5 or at least very similar?
If so i would assume that i can use it like C4/5, Ie on wheels and trim?

On DA I still think Hex is one of the best, although AF did design their pads to work via DA so maybe worth trying?Hex Logic pads still the go to for DA with Menzerna Polishes?
Only got Green, White and Black at the moment.
Had a go with Reload 2015 last weekend (I normally use C2V3 but fancied a change).
First impressions are good, easy to apply and great beading. I applied it to my girlfriends red polo but did notice a little bit of smearing. However this might be due to:
• I didn't put a base down as I just quickly wanted to add some protection - so there will still be some contamination on the surface
•It was a wet, cold evening (which I have heard tends to increase the chance of smearing)
I will apply it to the 182 this weekend after properly decontaminating and applying tripple first via DA.
However, some beading shots of it slightly spitting after applying:
Spray the tar remover liberally (out of the sunlight) leave for 5 minutes, spray again to damp the panel, wipe off.Typical noob, and probably often answered, question here having given my ST its first hand wash after a winter of grime and nothing other than the odd snowfoam and jet wash...
Tar spots, they're everywhere. Front, sides, and back. Previously I've used AG tar remover applying it to spots individually but if I do that to what's on the car I'll be at it for over a week.
Is there something to make life easier a la Iron X, just spray on, leave, then blast off?
What's the most effortless solution? Or do I really have to spend hours on my knees?

Mint!
Far superior to Desire?
Have used C4 before and rate it, Its what i would always use but the CC was pretty cheap as it was in the "seconds" sale so though it was worth a bash. Shall try it on the trims to see if it is similar to C4.Yeah C5 is very good. From what i've seen it would be between that and dlux on wheels. I think C5 is a tad easier to use.
I like my original pot of desire and lasts longer. But shield is nicer to use. Finish is subjective to the prep and the user. I'd pay full price for shield, not sure I would for desire
Another option would be autofinesse spirit. I use that more than desire
Currently used up my Poorboys sealant but want to try something a little better. What would you all recommend?
Also, I have a bit of swirling, very very minor in the bonnet. Do you think autofinesse 2 on pad 2 of the kit will nip these out quite easily?
Oh and when I did my mates car with autofinesse 1 on pad 1 I noticed a hell of a lot and I mean a s**t load of dust coming up. Why was it doing this? The pad had pad prime on and I worked some polish into the pad to saturate it a little before I started? I also sprayed a little water onto the panel too and still masses of dust, and even product drying in blobs into the pad?
Cheers.
