Indeed. The Trophy hadn't been washed in 2 weeks and was beading and sheeting.

I actually spoke to CG's only UK branch owner and he said if he could keep one product it would have been V7.

When was the last tone it was washed? I'm going to inspect it next week

Is there any special way to dry and maintain wash mitts? I bought a Dodo Juice one from Ultimate Dubs in March and when I was using it an hour ago it was falling apart on the car, fluff all over it! I normally rinse it out with clean water then just leave it to dry naturally.

I usually wash it out in the clean bucket after I've done the car, then leave to dry outside.

Make sure it's dried before you put it away. I've left one or two slightly damp before and it eats away at the glue, hence the pulling clumps of wool off the paint work.

Used poorboys black hole for the first time. It's my favourite by far, just need to find my perfect wax. That banana armour stuff, good?

I've yet to try black hole.

My current favourite two products are P1 and prima amigo.

Yeah I've used amigo before, prob a tad easier to remove but I get distracted by pesky customers and leave stuff on for too long. In a nutshell I prefer black hole and won't be buying any other polish tbh.

It's not a polish. It's just a glaze. It's also not as slick as Amigo but has more fillers.

Are you starting from scratch here?

As a minimum... Get some paintwork cleaner and apply that. Super resin polish is pretty good, as is Auto Finesse Tripple - that will remove some surface crap, hide some defects and add some gloss. Then top that with a sealant or a wax to lock in that finish and add some more gloss and water behavior. Youll need to buy some microfibre cloths (Cheap, short pile ones will do nicely) and an applicator for your paintwork cleaner. The red and white German applicator pad would be my choice.

I mentioned C2v3 because its £6 for a small bottle and will tide you over until you fancy getting a proper wax - if you do that is. Think you'll probably enjoy the price and ease of use for C2v3 along with the durability and water behavior. Its simply spray on then wipe.

Doesnt matter what your car colour is. Silver IMO does benefit from the crisp look of a sealant, Black really comes out at its best with a good wet looking wax. But its all down to what you prefer.

Had a message back from CYC, they said that it was normal lifespan for a Wash Mitt, never realised they only lasted that long.

So guys, as part of my 'fathers day' gift to my Dad, he gets to have my 200 for the day (Works with some car nuts and he's proper excited lol!) and whilst he has it, Im going to spend the day making his 3 Series look a bit better.

I have bought a few things I haven't tried yet, so want to know what product combination you guys would use.

(FYI its a Black 3 series)

I own a new bottle of AF Rejuvinate that I havent used before, worth bothering?

Cant decide between AF Triple or PB Black Hole.

I have both, have used both, and both really impress me. I know triple is a polish of sorts so has some abrasives and fillers and BH is just a glaze that will probably fill too.. Im not after a correction, just something to make it shiny for when Dad gets home.

Then, on top of one of those, I have the option of..

Tough Coat, yet to try this out, have a new bottle ready to be tested.
Reload, have used this once on my car, can't fault it really.
I also have the most recent Wax sample from Waxybox, no idea what it will be like.

Car will be fully decontaminated and clayed before any of the above see's use. I have a DA, but frankly cannot be othered to use it as Im sure it will be down the local Iranians soon getting chamois leathered or something.

I can only help on two and both IMO and I've used both. Black hole over tripple, it would look stunning on black. And the cleanser 100% I find it goes on better/cleaner if that makes sense. I'm far from an expert but that's my two pennies worth
