Going straight to work to start a Sunday clean mate. May be able to pop round after work at some point?

Anyone used the wax sample from August waxybox?

felt quite soft and oily in the pot, but didn't spread all that great with a finger mitt on my bonnet tonight over a base of rejuvenate. Removal was OK but came off better if it wasn't left too long, as in half a bonnet max.

Will be buying a waxybox on payday. Looking forward to it. :)

I'm going to be doing a home refurb on my wheels at some point soon. They won't be perfect, but I plan on getting 15s for it at some point. I've got carbone lorraine brake pads, and they're a bit aggressive on the wheels. I'm not going to be spending money on a proper wheel sealant for them due to the above, but out of the following that I already have, what do you think would last the best on the wheels?

AG HD Wax.
Collonite 845 insulator wax
DDJ Supernatural Hybrid

Either hd wax or colli.

as for the waxybox, check out chappers11 group buy on 3months for £40 if we get 50 people, compared to £15 plus delivery individually.

Just sprayed the car down after over a month of filth. That bullet spray is definitely worth the £7 for 500ml

Nano glass sealants, what have people used and rate. I've ran out of G1, and although very good it's nice to try something new.

It will only be used on my 2 cars so don't need much, and ideally must last minimum of 12months

I always prefered G5... beads better, sheets better, yeah it only lasts 6months with wiper action, but it's as easy as C2V3 to use... Wipe on, wipe off, brilliant product.

Anyone want to sell me a high end wax? I want a show wax which is all about gloss and also a durable wax which will be 6 months plus.

£150.00 has to buy both

G5 is a bit redundant IMO with the likes of C1.5 and C2. They last almost as long and are much easier and quicker to apply.

For me and my general driving, if I'm going slow enough for G1 not to work, I'm going so slow that G5 didn't work either. Then the other part of my daily drive I'm going fast enough that G1 kicks in so it's quite an easy decision for me.

My G1 has all but worn off on both cars after just over 2years now. Keeping it topped up with one of the spray sealants it's working fine but always looking for something better.

No judder from c2, Dave? Seen some reports that c2vX can cause this, hence my G5 suggestion. If that's no longer the case, I'll be C2V3ing up that shizzle.

G1 sheets from 30mph on my car. Dave I have half a bottle of G1 for sale if you fancy it.

I find anything else a waste of money.

Only had judder with reload.

C2v1 plus C1.5v1 plus C2v3 have all performed faultless on glass. Yes wiper area they die off but still bead off at decent speeds.

Oddly enough one of the best things about it is the sheeting when washing and rinsing. On my screen beading starts between 35-40mph, but really gets going at 45mph.

Kev, you think you have enough to coat all glass on 2x cars?

Dave its £10 ffs :)

I got 3 coats on my front screen and 2 on the rear on my old clio. Sides were dont with rain racer.

First coat wont last forever, second coat will last a lot longer. So apply 3 coats to the front then 6 months later apply another 3 and youll be set for quite some time.

Theres nothing better than G1 for thew front screen.

Strongly recommend you get the DA out if youve got one and machine polish with glass polish.

I know it's cheap, which is why I'm struggling to consider anything else. 3 layers on the front screen lasted at least 2 years, and did several cars with the 10ml bottle. So I have no doubt I'll be pleased with it once again, but I just wondered if the newer versions from other man'f were a step up

What is there to gain using the DA on the glass? I used G4 before application previously and was .ore than satisfied

Polishing the glass up by machine left it brilliant, screen looked new. I doubt it'll add anything to the application of G1 though.

Did you use your normal pads and compound, or with a specific glass polish, or go the whole way with proper glass based pads and polish like the carpro kits?

I have the car pro stuff, lovely to use! Even by hand with the proper polishing block it took the wiper marks out the glass easy enough!

Just glass polish and a light pad. cant remember what it was, Not trying to remove scratches or anything.

Proper prep and all that.

If you don't have any left you're applying too much! ;)
