IMO, you've wasted your money.

All the money spent on caliper paint, pointless fire extinguishers, stickers and mudflaps should have been spent on a decent lowering kit and some Original equipment alloy wheels. Probably with enough left over for some colour coding.

If you're on a budget, the cheapest way to make a mk1 look smart is a set of phase 2 16v wheels on 195/45's, drop it on 55mm gmax springs at the front and about the same at the back.
Then you could pick up a 2nd hand subtle backbox, 16v spoiler,16v steering wheel, interior (all cheap) i dont think colour coded bumpers would look much better for the hassle really.

Then there's the free stuff, remove those gash stickers and mudflaps for christ's sake, de-wiper the boot, and keep it clean!

hope this helps, stop reading max power.

Less is more i'd say, keep it simple fella.

Lose the decals, the badges on the repeaters and lower it.

Tidy looking car though

^lol agreed.
Don't mean to be rude but you'll look back in a year or two and think how cheap and tacky it looks. Painted drums look crap unless black imo. Why advertise the fact you've got drums?
Big decals like that look cheap and nasty on any car, it's pretty obvious it's a clio, why shout about it?
Lower it and remove the stickers and it will look much better.

By the way, this is constructive criticism, not an insult ;)

Anyone know where I can get some decent clear side repeaters? I've been looking for a while..

As for the 'i'd laugh if i saw that' comments, f**k you. I already said you can keep that unconstructive criticism to yourself.

As for the constructive, thanks. I'm not 100% sure if I like the decals myself, and not a lot of people like the coloured drums/calipers but I do, and i'm not changing that. I spent a lot on the alloys and everyone round here says they really like them, and I personally love them. So theyr'e not going anywhere. As for lowering, i'd probably go about 30mm when I get my front ajustables, and I didn't know the valvers have bigger arches o_O

Heres a taster of what it could be like without decals, lowered and clear side repeater........ not critising dude just thought you might like to see what it looks like

Looks much better IMO, but the each to their own. Maybe you can find some bumpers, that already is colourcoded at a junkyard?

Looks pretty good actually. I went down sandon scrappy for a new drum the other day. 3 clios, and the one that was white had black bumpers :(

Thats a good base for a car mate. Some people have been harsh but others have given good advice like.

Everyone knows its a clio
dont tell people you have drums
get valver wheels
debage some stuff

remember less is more

Aye, the main thing is you like it!

Some of us spend tonnes of cash on our 172's, but does anyone really notice them... ?

At the end of the day, we're all just driving clio's... but we like em and thats what counts mate.

I would get some white/ anthracite mk1 turbine wheels, lower it a bit, clear side repeaters, and leave it at that for a while.

Am guessing you wont want to keep the car forever, and the more resources you spend on modding this one, is time and money taken away from getting a better next car.

I got to a point with my last clio, when i thought sod it, im planning on spending so much, for that money i could get a 172.

Guess it depends how old you are and insurance etc etc... ?

I got some crystal clear side repeaters from halfrauds - i think they were £17.99 - well they weren't more than £20 any way!!

You can walk in and get them - they are a good fit and easy to do!!

And you can pick up there and then rather than saving a fiver from on line and waiting a week to get them!!

Dumpy

i like it, i think the wheels look nice too, but as above, the decals....
i think the blue brakes suit the white too. i think you should just lower it now, i think black bumpers can look good when the rest of the car is nice, ive seen a few like that.

slam it! colour code it! remove decals and fire extinguisher (aint a racing/rally car!) and do the calipers and drums black instead of blue (sorry but the blue is abit tacky :( ) Other than that it looks tidy!
