Difference between clio 16v and a R19 16v engines

is there any difference between the clio 16v lump compared to the R19 apart from the inlet manifold.

yeah there are a few, not many though. Cant remember off the top of my head i know someone who knows though so i'll ask!!

not sure on the exact differences. Ask over on retro-renault.com and you will find out exactly whats different as there are a load of 19 16v owners on there. The only thing I have heard that NEEDS to be changed is the alternator but I am sure theres more, in face the airbox is also different and won't fit in a clio engine bay.

the actual block isnt any different other than the no.

They have a different oil level sensor, thermostat housing and engine mounts and all the bracketory for the alt etc.
