Difference between interior door pulls???

Can someone just confirm me that the interior door pull on the drivers comes into two different sizes?

My car is Jan 2001. The door pull was previously damaged. I bought a second one, sprayed it silver however the electric window switches will not fit into the spaces.
I’ve heard that the 98-01 door pulls have slightly larger holes to accommodate the switches. From 01 onwards the electric window switches were marginally smaller, therefore the door pull have smaller spaces. Any truth in this?

No Idea.

The interior changed on the facelift model in 2001 onwards so there may be slight differences on this part.

If I was you I'd just buy the right one in the first place?
