Discusting farm clio

Looks a similar state to the one I got off Daniel, convinced I lost 5 years of my life travelling the 100 or so miles from Bristol to home.

Best bet as people have said is to remove all the cloth interior and throw in the bin, and replace with new stuff.

However before refitting sort out the water issue, as it will be the sunroof/seals on the bulkhead making it wet.

Under the carpet there'll be some sound deadening carpet, it will stink if its been in there a while. Gloves and mask are a must as it will be toxic. Lol

Good luck. You'll need it. In the end I put mine on eBay to get rid of the piece of s**t. Lol

Id leave it until harvest time, then when all the crops have grown you you can pull them out in bunches which should pull most of the mud up with it, then apply fabreze accordingly.

my mother was in tears at some of the replies to this. My sister was so desperate to drive a car tomorrow she wanted it as it was. She hasn't smelt it yet though!

Got a new interior from Alex yesterday so will be chucking that in probably on Monday if the weather isn't puke.

Should be some nice before and afters as the apc and odor bomb turned up today. Along with cambelt and full service kit.

I've been able to spend a little time on the clio over the weekend and it's certainly changed a bit!

Notable items I found in the car when cleaning

  • 8 shotgun shells
  • 2 debit cards
  • Crops
  • Animal Poo
  • Feathers
  • 4 socks
  • Joint
  • 3 lighters
  • Condom (unused thank the lord!)

So I made up some pretty strong APC and destroyed a microfibre and started to rip out the interior.

I then found a serious amount of water in the car. The owner thought the regulator on the window was broken so it had been open for weeks. Turns out it was just the switch which I had a spare one of. Sunroof still had the original seal so I have caked it in sealant.

Jokes about crops in the car came true!

Odor bombed the car this morning as it still smelt like s**t (literally)

Got the new interior in which is just such a huge improvement. All the removeable plastics were pressure washed and covered in APC. Just a few little bits to finish off now before it's put into service. Twas too dark tonight to get photos of the inside but they will come in due course.

I hope you cleaned the head lining! Doing all that work and leaving a stinking head lining in there would be sacrilege!

The headlining changed colour. I'm not exaggerating with a wipe it went from grey to normal. Absolutely vile.

Smell has completely gone now thanks to the bomb, worked better than expected.

A couple of parts need replacing because they are too far gone but including the service and cambelt it stands me at about £450 which I am chuffarooed with for a DCI

with that bomb, do you just push the button and leave it to empty?

Knuckles Yup, you can spray it a bit if you want to target somewhere but otherwise just click it down, shut the door and run. It's a bit messy with some foam spitting out.

I've got the same purple and white pen, got it when I did my forklift license. Just thought you'd like to know.

Bloody good job on the cleanup though, looking forward to better pictures!

He was happy to get in that every day! shocking.

Exterior isn't that bad. Front bumper is held on with cable ties but I'm sure that's standard, has been on all my clios.

Just needs a new rear cluster

He probably had a boilersuit and boots on everytime he got in it, as long as it ran he probably didn't give a s**t about it.

Chances are he ran it on red too as we all know farmers are tight arses and get their moneys worth.

Ohhh precisely. The smell was inhumane though and I've got a strong stomach after that fart I did in the car last month.

When I bought it he said I put 10L in there this morning......definitely red. I've already had that thought!

More like 10L of soil/water in the cars footwell.

Did you smoke the joint using one of the three lighters?

Or try the socks on? Or maybe make an animal voodoo doll with the poo and feathers?

PMSL good buy!

I bought a Xsara VTS a couple of years ago which was used to transport chickens around a farm. Was full of corn and chicken poo.

That's my lunch spat all over the table then.

Amazing work.

As said above credit's due where credit's due.

Would have loved to try on the socks but even the socks had verrucas.

There will be more photos when it's 100% finished but I've had a couple of problems with the UCH so have been preoccupied a little.

Unfortunately there is still a mild leak in the car so I need to do a little more investigation into that. Probably going to be the skuttle now the sunroof is sealed up.

Today I got an airline on the carpets to get all the ingrained dirt out and they came up very nicely and almost like new. Those wirey carpets do have a habit of trapping the grit. If you've never done this I would recommend it. Brings the pile back really well. There is a bit of grit flying around though.

  Many.
After seeing it in person, its hard to believe its the same car now.

Just like my car when I bought it inside, amazing.

I've done 99% of what I'm going to do on the car now. It looks better in the photos as it's got a fair few dents and scratches but from a reliable work horse point of view it's exactly what I was after.

Few of the dents on the roof and terrible but impossible to fail sunroof fix.

Mud which I bashed out of the rear bumper

Including the unexpected UCH it owes me £600 which is a bit more than I wanted to fork out in the end but it's good for a very long time now.

All fixed and running now then? New ECU set sort it finally?

Is a brilliant turn around, and awesome to see my old interior again :D
