divx episodes to dvd?

  Astra CDTI SRI
I have 6 "episodes" of tv program in divx format.

I want to create a dvd with a menu system so that you can select an episode for the menu and watch it.

I tried dvd santa, but that just created one big long movie withe all six in sequence.

Anyone point me in the direction of a piece of software that will do the trick?

I do have sony dvd architect, but that wont read divx format.

Right this isn't an all in one software solution, it requires a few different ones. And some time as the mpeg encoder, TMPGenc, isn't the quickest but tis deffo the best quality in my experience. It also can ensure the aspect ratio of whatever you're encoding stays the same by automatically adding black borders, other encoders I've used don't do this and require more thinking power to get it right, which i can't be arsed with :p However other mpeg encoders produce perfectly watchable vids in a significantly shorter amount of time if a 100% perfect aspect ration isn't important to you (i'm a perfectionist).

Step 1. Use VirtualDub to extract the audio and video.
Step 2. Use BeSweet with Gui to convert the audio into MP2 format.
Step 3. Use TMPGenc to encode the video into MPEG2 format.
Do that for each of the episodes.

Step 4. Using Tsunami-Mpeg DVD_Author, very straight forward DVD Authoring software, add each of the clips with they're corrosponding audio clips, add chapters, create a menu and burn to disk.

Reason I learnt to do it this way is because my telly can't handle NTSC vids so with a few extra steps this method can be used to convert them into PAL format.

Sorry its all a bit rushed but i'm just on my way out :-D

Step one, get on eBuyer and buy a DVD player that plays DivX and X-Vid. Step two lay on the sofa and smile.

I use "ConvertXToDVD"

Just drag and drop the files in, it converts and burns and creates a menu entry for each file.
Although, I am thinking of just buying a DivX capable player to use alongside my main machine.
