door build advice...

i got some components i wanna build a door pod for, now where is the best place to install the tweaters ??? isnt it 30cm from the woofer ??

no problem with the fiberglassing so just whondering where is best to mount the tweeters.. and should i mount the speakers more angled towards my face so i get the best sound stage ?

ive just got some infinity kappa components and door pods made for my valver. the infinity tweeters can be mounted flush and then angled towards you for better sound. i think for looks youd be better mounting them flush.

what size speakers we looking at?

Id say kickpods and door compilation all depending on size and what way are they?

I have three ways, 4" and tweet in kicks and a 6.5" in custom door angled pods too.

165mm 2 ways the woofer is huge, got it all planned out in my head how its gonna be, not sure weather to hide the crossover or have it on show... gonna start firber glassing them up soon

gonna have the woofer about 1.5" at its lowest point away from the door slightly angled out.

just got to decide on the shape of the base of the build... gonna get a screen in the next few days and glass that in to a build also

so far its going well, done 2 coats of glass fiber on 1 door, and 1 coat on the other i want 3 coats all together to give me a good firm base....


just gone and bought a router as cutting mdf with a jigsaw is getting boring lol and i felt like buying a new tool

should be finished doing the glass tonight and cutting out the mdf, then tomorrow will cover and resin the main shape and monday/tuesday finishing up and covering in alcantara stuff and mounting to the door pics will follow
