Downloading vids from Newzbin...

hey. my aunt has asked me to record 24 for her as she doesn't get sky one. im happy to do it, but, it takes an hour to transfer it from my v+ box to my dvd-recorder.(have to play it @ 1x speed). so, i thought it might be quicker for me to download the episodes and just burn them to a dvd.

so, how do i do it? i know how to use newzbin, but i don't know what to do with the downloaded file. do i need to convert it? is it in a format that i can just burn to disc? i have googled this, but i don't really know what im looking for so didn't find anything helpful. anyone got a link to a guide, or maybe able to quickly do a bullet point guide?

You can't download any video files from newzbin matey. It's just an nzb that points to the correct files on usenet.

By the way, if you want the resultant DVD to play in a DVD player, you'll also have to convert the final video file to a DVD format before burning.
