East Midlands - Go Karting Day - Date TBC

Hello all,

Been a while since I've arranged a meet, and had this in mind for a while. Details are very brief atm, just wanting to see who would be interested.

Race events can be seen on their website, but I thought the Sprint 30 (10 laps qualifying, break and then 30 lap race) would be the best, for up to 10 people. If we get more than 10 people I will get in touch with them about corporate events. Both myself and -Danman- have driven this track and can vouch for how good it is.

Update:

Just had a response from them!

Dear Tom,

For 20 people you would probably be best with the 1 hour endurance. This is a 10 lap qualifying and then an hours race, there are 2 people per kart and you swap every 15 minutes. You also get 1[SUP]st[/SUP], 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] and 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] trophies for both people in the team. This is £45 per driver. We require a £10 per person deposit when you make the booking. This can be paid by credit card over the phone (01623 556553) or you can visit our website www.kurburgring.co.uk, make the booking and pay the deposit via PayPal.

Exactly what I thought personally, I went here for my first Cs meet years ago and can't remember paying anywhere near that much.

I paid £15 for 20 minutes yesterday. But they actually gave me 2 lots of 15 minutes. To be honest 10 minute stints would have been better for me. I had to keep slowing down to give myself a break. Wrist and back were killing me.

Managed a 26.9 on my second run, which I thought was pretty good.

May come along to this too depending on the format and date.
