ebc green stuff pads!!!

hi guys heard good things about these pads that they are alround great improvement over standard....where is the cheapest place to get these from euro carparts do the set for 30.58 plus vat i think which i think sounds really good!!! any takers...going to go for high carbon front disks and goodridge lines will this be a good set up? in wet and sun?

  Not got a car
ive had greenstuff on my saxo and astra coupe turbo, both running EBC discs to, imo standard pads are better, Greenstuff suffer from major brake fade. Only good thind is theres little dust.

Mintex and ferdo (sp) im going for.

  172CUP/Fiesta supersport
i'm running brembo HC discs with EBC greenstuff and I find the brakes superb, deffo an improvment over standard. I don't do trackdays tho this is just based on the odd bit of spirited road stuff etc.

There are EBC v1 and EBC v2, afaik the v2 are a lot better than the early pads they produced under the Greenstuff name.

Also worth looking at Pagid fastroads mate.

  williams 2 turbo
all the greenstuff pads i used were cack. i spoke to yozzasort, and got pagid blues. not cheap, but they launch you through the screen if your not careful.

I have green stuff pads in mine, and some grooved and drilled discs, only problem is all this was on when I bought it, I have know clue what type of discs these are. However they work very very well.

  Focus ST
I've had EBC Green pads for about a year now, 12,000 miles. There not bad, an improvement over std. But I'd (knowing what I know now (not a lot)), save for Pagid.

cheers guys for all your comments that price from larkspeed seems very good mate...any major comments from the big guns cos i had heard they were very good when combined with high carbon discs..anyone got this setup ??

Yep, I got the green stuff kit from yozzasport, i havent got around to fitting the hose yet but the brembo discs & green pads are OK, I wouldn't say they are awesome as they have faded a few times; but I was trying to stop on a dime from 115mph down a Lincolnshire 'Red Route' road of death...

  ST on the way...
Agreed, I thought they would be more tolerant of heat but only lasted a few more minutes than standard before going.

Uprated lines and HC discs are the way forward ;)

cheers guys i have already decided to get the hc discs and goodridge lines and some decent brake fluid but the pads are a quandry dont really have the money for silly prices ones but want better than standard !!! anyother options for the money

cheers for that mate...what about mintex pads are they anygood extreme? and are goodridge the best lines? what about black diamond thanks pal

  Supra
i checked on this because i am experienced in ebc, if you ordered these pads you would end up for a set of fronts for a clio 1.8 1992-97, which would be wrong for a mk2 2.0, they sell these at £53.99+vat and dont even stock them, i know all this because i rang them up and quoted their part number, so beware if ordering
