electrical fault

I have a problem where by when I press the brake the thermometer goes out, the stereo dimms and the klight in the glovebox goes on!

I am thinking it could be a weak earth on the brakelight.....but before i dive in there, any other bright ideas on this one?

Earths usually work as normal or dont at all i think. Doubt they can cause that. Maybe something to do with the lives to the display or brake lights.

Check the switch on the pedal is being operated correctly when you puch the pedal. Check the 2 spade teminals on the pedal-quite possibly a bad earth somewhere, pull both rear clusters off and investigate,
