ENGINE COOLANT TEMP GAUGE- 182

Ever since I had it it would sit in the middle once up to temp. NOW it seems to not know what itd doing. I can be sitting at 80-85 for half hour and itll be sat at the bottom on the coolest.

Sometimes if i Drop it down a gear and boot it it will raise to the middle - only to fall back down again.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the faulty coolant sender problem, a few on here have had it sorted. Most recently Lee and his Trophy I think.

Is it a big job? Is it doing any harm right now will it effect performance?

change it, the ecu uses it for coolant temp info.

Unless your coolant level is low and the sensor only sits in it sometimes.

Its only a sensor which screws in and out.
