ENGINE FLAT AND MISFIRING CLIO 172 RENAULTSPORT MODEL 2003

Gave the engine a good degreasing and washed it off. Took it for a run and it started running flat and misfiring . Orange Engine symbol came on dash for about 2 minutes but no longer coming on but still won't rev and still misfiring 3 hours later Thought it would have dried off water wise. Any clues please? Starts up well and no lights on dash. Recently fitted K&N 57i INDUCTION KIT But figure the ecu would accept this and recalibrate as such so can i rule that out ? .No water got into filter cone.

Probably got water around the spark plugs mate, let it dry out for a day or so, and give it another go.

Washing your engine is not the best idea.
