Engine grinding

Right peeps need some wisdom. When driving and accelerate to about 1500rpm the engine starts to make a grinding noise from the top end and just bogs down until it goes back under 1500rpm. Any ideas what this could be

Is it running ok apart from that?
Mine appears to be driving fine, just due an oil/filter change and fresh front end parts (steering etc)

No it dies of power when the scrapping starts and it's as if its down cylinders

Can you take a video of the sound and post it up? Would make it easier to speculate on what it could be

Too vague a description TBH, but certainly doesnt sound promising.

Spoke to Sean today at K-Tec about mine who said its possibly an aux pulley making that noise under load

I think it's the cam belt that's went cause when it was running it smelt like burning rubber then cut out then went to turn it over and it sounded electric

Update the belts are not snapped and could be a timing issue. Tapatalk won't let me upload a vid
