engine management light flashing and car running terrible

looking for some serious help here !!! heres my story lol
went and bought a clio 172 exclusiv today 1500 quid ( cat d 55k miles ) 10 miles up the road exhaust falls off ( nothing major ) but then the engine management light comes on ( flashing ) car running very lumpy and well short of power , not in limp mode though. sold my focus st3 andbought 1 of these for a daily run about to work . booked into get put on the computer on monday .

any 1 out there help me before i burn it out lol

plugs, coil pack or leads. the flashing usually means that fuel is going down your exhaust, that will kill your cat.

£1500 not a bit on the expensive side for a CatD?!

Does the pre-cat Lambda sensor not usually make the car run like sh*t if it's on the way out too? That would throw up the EML on the dash.

If the zorst fell off could be lambda related. Could be a few options though.

mine did this just before it died smoky exhaust and missfiring flashing eml and a melted cylinder 1

cyclinder missfire on the comp today !!!! coilpack most probably , exhaust snapped in the middle and wheel bearing away also , common faults i hear ????

cat d because of it needing a respray after vandils scratched it and put thewindows in . so looks good as new now , i thot it was a fair price as milage is low and 1 owner . there trading at 2500 - 3000???
