Engine Under tray

Removed my under tray to check something in the engine bay and noticed that the foam lining is coming away from it. Appears to be held in by staples previously but i don't have access to a staple gun. Will double sided sticky tape be ok as a temporary measure? I have a trackday tomorrow so not sure what to do, may just take it off completely.

Take it off completely, doesn't really serve any purpose IIRC.

Lost mine during my 172 Cup ownership very early on.

Yep, rip it off...mine was hanging off when I bought the car, so just took it off completely as it looked untidy.

Cheers guys, after a closer look the foam looks a bit battered anyway so will rip it off and just put back under tray without the foam layer.
