Would it make a good starter DSLR?

What would you expect to pay for a second hand one? Body+Lense+Battery, 4 years old VGC.

These are pretty dated now so you might be able to pick up one for about £150'ish but might be slow to write etc.

What is your budget? For about £400/£500 I would go for a Canon 450D with lens, or a Nikon D60 with lens.

Well I did A level Photography, so used an SLR for 2 years and just wanted something cheap to get back into it. (£200)

Start with the 300D if you can source one.

Some good deals. Not sure if the Canon D30 would be worth your while but still worth considering.

I have a 300d that I started out on! Produced some good images too! Just, as said, bit dated now!

Mpbphotographic had some nrilliant deals ok last week so keep an eye out on there!

for a similar price you could get a 10D, which is what i would pick as it has a magnesium body rather than plastic so feels more solid.
